While driving, pay attention to the "smoothness" of movement. Sudden braking or intense revving can also negatively affect the chain's condition and may provoke a break.
Consequences of malfunctions in the timing chain drive include:

It's recommended to change the hydraulic tensioning device, chain guides, and sprocket set along with the timing chain. Replacing these parts together can prevent future breakdowns. After all assembly operations, the engine's operation is checked. The noise level during engine operation depends on how properly the chain is tensioned. If increased chain operation noise is heard at low speeds, the chain tension needs readjustment.
